Mark Hellenschmidt
Mark Hellenschmidt draws from over thirty years of experience in engineering and management, including electrical power and grounding systems, large scale system testing, communication systems, electronics manufacturing, nuclear environments and electrical facilities engineering. He performed site surveys, inspections and repairs at over 130 U.S. military installations around the world. His educational background includes a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Mr. Hellenschmidt has developed and taught numerous Power and Grounding training courses and is a published author in the field.
Alan Rebeck
Alan Rebeck holds two Degrees from Rutgers University, including a BS in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society Standards Committee for Surge Protection. In addition Mr.Rebeck is a professional member of the Lightning Protection Institute and a US representative to the IEC Surge Protective Devices Standards Subcommittee.
Alan is a regularly featured speaker to many technical associations throughout the world and has lectured to the Association of Field Service Managers (AFSM), the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), and the Rockwell/Allen Bradley Automation Convention. He has participated in the review of Motorola fixed site communication installation practices (Motorola R-56) and has been contracted by Bechtel Corporation to oversee grounding and lightning protection design for automated copper mines in South America. Mr. Rebeck has performed more than 200 power, grounding and lighting protection surveys at telecommunication sites and manufacturing plants in more than 30 countries.
Matt Fiske
Fiske holds a BSEE from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional for RO Associates.
His previous work experience while employed by AT&T, General Mills and Digital Equipment Corporation included problem resolution in power, control, instrumentation and grounding for sensitive electronic equipment.
Fiske also has an extensive consulting background in electrical planning, design, and installation pertaining to process control and telecommunication industries. In addition, Fiske has developed applicable standards and specifications, as well as conducted related site surveys and training.
Doug Duncan
Duncan holds three undergraduate degrees, in addition to a Masters in Physics. As a licensed Master Electrician, he has worked for Texas Instruments, Forney Engineering, International Power Machines and Desto Chemical. He is also a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
Duncan is recognized and stands out in the field for his unique approach and practices on classroom education instructions and discussions.
Jay Adams
Jay Adams, BSEE, has over 25 years engineering experience in Defense, Aerospace, Semiconductor, Telecommunications, Rail and Broadcast Industries. He is currently employed by the Protection Technology Group as an Applications Engineer and Product Manager; he is actively involved in product development for AC and DC surge protection solutions for global market applications, lecturing at industry events and conducting site audits.
