The Protection Technology Group presented “Lightning: A Real Threat to Down Time and Maintenance Costs” at the IWPC LTE WiMax and Backhaul Summit on January 21st. The Summit brought together industry leaders from over 40 companies including Verizon Wireless, US Cellular, Metro PCS, Motorola and Nokia Siemens in an open environment to communicate, network and share technology requirements and capabilities.
Andrew Dawson, Vice President of Global Engineering and Product Management, presented during the Enabling Technologies sessions on lightning and its threats in regards to down time and maintenance costs. The presentation was geared to educate carriers and OEM’s on how they can correlate data to cause, which will enable them to increase reliability and reduce costs.
